I put some pork sizzle slices, garlic, onion, capsicum and asparagus in my magic cooking pot in the oven for lunch. Veggies were perfect but pork was overcooked cos I put it in before the rest. Still lots leftover for tomorrow. Then finally finished off the icecream cos it was taking too much room in the freezer!

Boysenberry yogurt for dinner, which was the highlight of my food day. Yum!

Not keen on that pork, will not get it again. Tonight I picked a bunch of herbs from the garden and made a clear soup with a couple garlic cloves. I have a migraine so not really in a food mood. Surprisingly a lot more tastey than I anticipated! I sliced a bit of pork to put in and that took the whole dish down. I should have stuck with the initial broth. I will make that again, without the meat, next time I am migrainey like this. Really nice, and would be good with a squeeze of citrus or lime in there too. I am so pleased with what my garden is producing now :D

I went to the market yesterday and got a cabbage and purple sprouting broccoli, will do a roast today with it and possibly a stir fry tomorrow, or maybe another roast, depending on how I feel and what I have to use up!

I have purple broccoli in my garden :D I pick it and eat while I am out there. If I bring it in to put in a dish I forget about it! So usually I pick just as I am about to use stuff now or it gets forgotten in the fridge. Yummy stuff :D Is it in season over there as well? I swear I must have my garden growing things at wrong times.

Tonight I ate more boysenberry yogurt and then a slice of cheese and cup of milo. I had a migraine which makes chewing a major problem lol I am so glad I got so much of that yummy yogurt but I had intended to ration it, not scoff it like I have! Oh well. back to the shops this week for bunny food anyway.

The cabbage was certainly in season as it still had dirt on it!
I went out for lunch today and had pie and chips, so no plans to make a big meal tonight.

Still have cabbage to use up, so be something with cabbage. Might see if there's any potatoes going free and do mash, cabbage and something out of the freezer

Finally got around to making the Al Forno pasta last night that I had bought a week ago; it was my first time and it was delicious! Easy to make, super cheap, I will definitely add it to my small list of constant remake meals, along with lasagna and spaghetti and meatsauce.

Pizza today. I had intended to bribe myself with chinese food, but that required yet another stop. So I just got a cook at home grocery store pizza, on special for $8! Couldn't eat it all, couldnt even eat half. So many leftovers in the fridge. Made some chocolate milk and managed to make a huge mess, how one drink and a heat at home pizza made more mess than a week of cooking?!? I'll never figure me out!

Since I'm still using up the cabbage I'm going to try making the stuffed cabbage mix and just add the cabbage it rather than rolling it around. Mostly as I have most of the ingredients here, rice, lentils, mushrooms.

Leftover pizza and more homemade chocolate milk. Made a mess with it again, even worse than last night! I had to clean it up off the cupboards straight away because they are white and I know they stain. Yet still more leftovers left for tomorrow. I am getting my moneys worth, thats for sure!

Celebrity MastAchef had comfort food... So I made a mini potato bake to have with asparagus and tomato chutney.
Had some leftover white sauce so stirred tuna, cheese and veggies though and that can go in the freezer for a meal later (if I remember to get it out of the OFF oven before bed!)

I have been getting through my freezer stock, just in time for all these shortages to reach oz haha. I had chicken enchiladas all day yesterday. A mango for dinner.
So far today, baked beans for breakfast, coffee and apple juice and just about to get into my peanut brittle chocolate. I love this eating every day thing!

Have some beef marinating in plum sauce. I have really not been happy with the quality of meat available lately. $10 for 400grams is a silly amount to pay and i duno why i got that pack. I got it the same time as that terrible pork. Im hoping the extra sweet sauce saves the taste. Figured out that buying sauce is cheaper than making my own, even though i consider it cheat cooking!

Just had the most delicious lunch; small tortilla pancakes, fresh spinach, cut-up cucumber and avocado, then a tuna salad on top (tuna, creme fraiche, red onion, dill, salt, pepper, and lemon juice), then roll together like a burrito. Yum!

Pancakes! I haven't made pancakes from scratch in years; I've either bought finished dessert pancakes or bought those bottles where all you have to add is milk and then shake it. But not today! I grew up on pancakes for dinner and so now I've bought all the stuff I need for it and I can't wait. I'll finally get to use my special pancake-pan for the thing it's meant for :D
