Got the morning off so big to do list

Kitchen, obviously! Washing up is the main one. Once that's done I can do the rest.

Laundry, already got one on the airers and a second load in the machine

Recycling and rubbish to go out.

Going to get the slow cooker out and make soup for work lunches.

Already poured the unblocked down the bath drain.

Magpies DO eat eggs. One came and sat on the gate less than 2 metres from me whippersnipping yesterday, wiping its beak on the wood post. I couldnt believe it got so close to me with a huge noisey bright yellow bit of machinery in my hand. I turned off the whippersnipper to talk to it and THEN it decided to fly away haha Was happy to supervise me but did NOT want to talk. I have more whippersnipping to do, but I am not sure I will do anymore of it today. The deadline for 10cm grass is Nov 1, so I dont want to do it all this week and then have to do it all again every week until then. I will just do what I want to do before it must be done. For tonight -

1. Bring hay in for the buns
2. Empty the rain drip buckets
3. Empty the dishwasher
4. wipe benches
5. brush the bunnies

Was going to edit but since there is a post inbetween - I did the whippersnipping lol. Just on the driveway which is the most visible to the community.
1. Bring hay in for the buns
2. Empty the rain drip buckets
3. Empty the dishwasher

4. wipe benches
5. brush the bunnies
Those three done too but now I also have to re-pack the dishwasher cos I used about 3 different cups for water in the last hour.
And I have to bring all the rain drip buckets back it! I left them outside but the mozzies were getting nasty so I basically ran back in.
Charge the battery for the whippersnipper
Chop a carrot for the buns
Charge my phone!

Charge my phone!
I need to do this too, plugged it in last night but forgot to switch it on!

Also forgot to take the rubbish out when I went out, however managed to rearrange the freezer to fit in some of the free food!
Made a good dent in the washing up, oven dish is currently soaking.
Got the slow cooker out ready to make soup, but need to wash up the chopping board first!

Tomorrow I plan to whippersnip again. I have to get down into that swampy corner again, its no longer swampy but some weird african grass is setting in. It has always popped up every spring, but spreading too fast for my liking. I pulled out a big bush of dead river daisies today to make the path a bit easier for my fat ass to fit down.

I dont think I will get whippersnipping done today. Unless I have a burst of balance and energy before sunset. I have been re-arranging the bunnies pen so I can roll the air track out again. I really have to work on my walking on a place that doesnt matter if I stack it. Walking around like I am balancing on stilts again has put my back out haha so I really need to sort that or stuff like whippersnipping becomes dangerous. I did trip a few times with it the other day and when I was hedge trimming with sharp hedge trimmers too, so the air track really needs to come out so I can get my balance back! I gotta move the chaste bit of the couch over to the other side of the room and then drag the mat out and blow it up. I want to get it done for tonight but I am running out of steam and I still need to put dinner on.

I had a pretty good day yesterday at getting stuff done but still loads to do. Not sure if I'm working tomorrow or off, so I'll check that and if off have another go at getting the rest done.

Today though I am working, so just a small to do list
Make soup
More of the washing up

The air track has helped tremendously, but the buns think it is a giant cuddle pillow and I have probably spent more time snuggling with them on it than exercising. But the fact that it is out already means that I do dozens of laps and jumps on it per day and can lay flat on my back for exercises at any moment. It has not helped everything tho... I tripped over the whippersnipper this arvo and that wasnt good for more reasons than just falling. Im so relieved no one saw me, the whippersnipper didnt break and that I have a HOT shower and home!

But, now I have to vacuum which is a much tougher feat with a 6 metre mat laid out. That is my main goal of the weekend. Need to switch the vac bag out, clean the filter, sweep the big bits of hay and then vacuum.

My house would legit get me locked up for the state it is in right now, but the dishwasher/washing etc has nothing on the state of the floors, which havent been done since my last post. I am a very messy and exhausted creature.

So far I have the blankets and cushions airing on the front patio for the morning sun. I am debating in my mind if I switch the bunnies rugs out before I vac because it will make a mess to do so and will need to be done next week anyway. Their latest bale of hay is another mould filled mess so I have to turf out a bin load of that on to the garden. Speaking of the garden, the hedges need trimming and I need to rake some areas before they become danger noodle hiding spots. I have to recharge the whippersnipper battery and run the teatowels though the wash. I have started packing the dishwasher and need to get another bin bag out for the mess on the floor. I am so stingy with bin bags! Thats a few cents worth each time, they used to be free because I used the shopping bags! And my re-useable shopping bags are absolutely filthy but because they are lined with wax, I cant exactly run them through the wash!

27C yesterday, 12C today, 2C tonight. I am glad I got the place aired out over the weekend! ha. I have to go get another bale of hay for the buns. I know the whole region was rained on after hay was cut, so finding non mouldy hay will be tough everywhere. I cant tell til I get the bale home if it is any good. Luckily export hay is much better quality and less musty and dusty but the buns love the long stem and really do need that in their diet as well.

Gotta unpack and repack the dishwasher tonight. Thats it really. I will probably have yogurt for dinner, so no mess with that either!

Got lots to do before the cat gets a visit from my mother! I'm going away for the day and she's coming to check up on him.

All rooms need doing, I'll leave the bathroom until Sunday morning before I go, but get the others done during the week so Saturday evening I just need to do a quick clean up.

The rain has sparked the garden back to life.. So I have a few things to list so that I dont forget them (or lose the list!) These are not an all in one day thing or I will die to death.

Clear the back garden path, trim the cover back, rake it up and chuck it on my new grow pile.
Pull out, cover or whippersnip the random strands of grass that have shot to seed. I might need to go by toyworld and get some boxes to keep smother some parts.
Secure the sides of the fruit tree nets down once the flowers set as fruit
Collect all the old eggs from the ducks, smash and put on the nectarine tree. Old mumma did abandon her nest after I nicked some eggs so I better get them out before they start to rot. One of the young ducks has about 10 eggs stashed but isnt broody on them yet so I will take them too, once the ground dries out again!
Whippersnip the paddock and let the ducks back in
Empty the ponds, move and refill with fresh
Trim the hedges (might look into getting a HUGE hedge trimmer maybe if I can lift it... it would take the work time down by hours and keep them looking neater than I currently do)
Find a syphon pump and empty the back pond of rain water. Been trying to get that going for fish for ages but dont have the brain power
rake leaves and chuck on fruit trees
fix the tap. I got a new fixture and it didnt fix it so I am going to have to think about why that one tap pisses out so much water from the top.
Poison the bad creeping buffalo grass on a hot day. I simply have no other choice, its too established where I dont want it and refuses to establish where I do want it!
Chuck old hay out as mulch
empty rain drip buckets
sweep and tidy patio.

I think I might need either a chinese food binge or maccas binge to fuel all of this :p

Oh, and hey, I just wanted to say thanks to @Death for making this thread. So much media is all about how to support people with "mental illness" and most of it is pure theatrical crap. Its people like @Death and @Baby who actually listen and do the practical things that help. I really appreciate it and hope you know how much you have helped. It might seem a simple act, but having a thread like this gives me a place to start when I am overwhelmed.

I did the hedges and whippersnipping and pretty much need to do them again already. Rain then sun makes everything grow! Im really happy with the ducks paddock, it could hold a pony :D

Washing is done, dishwasher is done, benches and bathroom is done. Dusting is done. Door handles, fridge, stove top, all done. Dinner is ready to be done. Now whats on the actual list? Lol

Vaccuming needs to be done before the weekend is over so its done by the next town trip.

Have two major things that I really should fix but never do...
  • Replace my broken couch.
I actually have a new one, that I got for free, in a storage. It has been there for over 3 years now and I have yet to bother to get it up to the apartment and throw out the old one.
  • Finish up sorting all my computer parts, cables and stuff like that.
I got two new cabinets? (not sure if that's the right word) for that purpose over two years ago now. One is like half full. The rest of the stuff is still on the floor in the bedroom.
But has they say. Any day now... :p

/SK
Big day today... I have finally replaced my broken couch.
So only one thing left. ;)

It's "funny" how much easier it is to get something done when someone else asks for help.
In this case we had to get a big truck anyway to help move some things from my parents home and while we were at it we got around and throw away some of my stuff as well.
Took a couple of hours in total. Have no idea why I just can't get something similar done by myself without the need of others asking for help first.

/SK

:( sooo much rubbish has been chucked over my fence tonight. I went out to put the ducks to bed and they were going nuts cos people were throwing crap over the fence at them. I put them to bed and went to put the bin on the curb, and my driveway is covered in trash.

Stupid halloween.

Someone had opened my gate and left it open again but no one has actually knocked on the door. They are just dumping their rubbish in my garden :( so i will have to do a big trash pick up tomorrow. I put the bin out on the roadside only half full in the hope they use it and dont tip it over... Im not going to stay out in the garden with all these people coming passed. I padlocked the little gate cos im sick of finding it open. No one has come up to the house, yet they open the gates? I mean, I do have plenty of sweet mandarins to share if they want food but it seems all they want to do is trash my garden. I work so hard in it so im pretty pissed off. And wishing i had a dog to bark at them. Maybe i should have set up the sprinklers. Usually i am out there with hedge trimmers on halloween but I already did the hedges earlier in the week and its not just kids trick or treating this year. This time all their adults are with them. I guess that child abduction up north spooked the parents into supervising. Not that its been any help to stop the tricking bit

Today -

unpack dishwasher
hang out clothes once the washing machine is finished
repack dishwasher
take out rubbish and do an emu pick in the garden on the way to the bin
kill weeds with kettle
Clean kitchen sink
put out bug trap
pull some weeds from food growing beds
tip out rain drip buckets
tip out grass clipping bucket as mulch somewhere
rake mulch in the front
sweep patio and whippersnip - depending on how well I am feeling. Spine is on fire and smoked my brain out after the vaccine. only stacked it once though. Mum is bringing a walker down this month for me incase this stupidity and stumbling stuff stays over summer, I gotta be able to get around the garden.
