Dean goes off on his own to take on a case; Castiel has an idea of how he can help Sam track down God.

My post below written while watching.

It must suck to browse news all day. I know I get hell depressed when I spend hours reading the news, probably cos I know I cant do anything about it. Good Dean doing something :)

Haha good influence Eileen! What a feast. Sam needs some sexy time. Hahaa yes Ew to some of Sam in Chuck... could the vessel of lucifer making chuck more evil? LOL at painfaces. Good thing he got blasted onto a bed ay. Sam would be tough to move as a dead weight.

Uhoh Lindseys up to no good :p Oh yay singing :D This has gotta be a fan fave. Better than Demon Deans karaoke. Beef boys to the blondes rescue. Haha classic bar fight. This barmaid keeps mucking with Lee?Lindseys plan lol. No surprises there with "you couldn't leave well enough alone could ya".

Evil Russian gave them secrets, I knew that bunker should have had a whole lot more in store.

Now we wait for the escape. Dean looks quite neat after a big night and fight. Hahah God bless Texas. Fun episode :D

Ending on a hope note.

My only complaint with this episode (which I loved as much as I've been loving the rest of this final season) was that performance. It was clearly Jensen on stage, not Dean. I mean, singing a country song? Dean? Yeah, right. Plus it's kinda been canon so far that Dean is a bad singer. But, oh well, I forgive them cause it's the final season and the fan-pleasing is to be expected.

A rather straight forward episode.
Everything felt very obvious from the beginning. lol

Still, I enjoyed it very much. It was just a fun episode.

Was this the last ep for the year? If so, a great way to finish 2019 :)

No, there is one more (episode 8). No thread for it here yet though.

Ah the Christian Kane ep, and it feels like this ep was written for him, rather than him being a guest star in an ep of the show, if you know what I mean.

I agree with this too, Dean would never have sung, unless very drunk and as much alcohol as we saw he wasn't bad singing karaoke drunk.

Well, first true stinker of the season. Just delete this ep, please and thank you.

As mentioned above this was just Dean as Jensen, a Texas boy singing country songs.

There was a brief moment of ”ooh, that’s Christian Kane” followed by ”oh, he’a gonna be the bad guy, isn’t he?”

Then you have Dean decapitate a monster, then it is supposed to be somewhat exciting to watch him take on a flabby hunter that hasn’t done anything but booze and sing for ten years. C’mon, literally just took on a beast single handedly.

With no connection to the character either his death was just, oh well. Christian Kane looked the part though, I am not sure of he is still acting, but if I heard he had a bar and had spent the last ten years partying there, I’d buy it.

Basically, just like when Daneel appears, this just seemed like they’re doing it to please the actors because they have to.

Sam plot was mediocre too. Oh, no, Sam is dying? How genuinely scary, how will they ever get out of this? *eye roll*

This definitely wasn’t my cup of tea.
I like Eileen though. When was the last time Sam had a romantic interest? I can’t even remember. So I hope this is gonna be a thing. Darn it Castiel, for interrupting.
